Hey Reader, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately—not just about how to make money now, but how to build the kind of future that gives us real freedom. For me, that future looks like financial independence. What does that mean, exactly? Well, for us anyway, it’s certainly not about living in a mansion or driving a luxury car. We just want to be able to choose how we spend our time. To have our basic needs met without relying on a 9-to-5 job, a boss, or the hope that Social Security will be enough someday. So I’ll ask you— What does financial freedom look like for you?
Maybe you dream of retiring early and traveling. Or just having enough tucked away so you can finally breathe without worrying about the next bill. Whatever it is, it’s worth working toward. My husband and I are building a solid mix of websites, rental properties, and other investments that can support our simple lifestyle. And honestly, one of the most effective things I’ve done over the years is testing and adding new income streams. I’ve tried more than 30 income streams. Some fizzled and others bring in a few bucks here and there. But the real winners have turned into amazing sources of income that keep flowing even when life gets busy. And when you think about having multiple streams, those little earnings really do add up. If financial freedom is something you want, here are a few realistic tips that have helped me stay on track: ✨ Test different ideas until something sticks. Don’t be afraid to try new things—you don’t have to commit forever. You just have to start. ✨ Choose income streams that fit your lifestyle. Got young kids at home? Find something flexible. Short on time? Look for passive or semi-passive options that don’t eat up your day. ✨ Reinvest what you can. Instead of upgrading everything when income increases, use those wins to build something that’ll last. That could be a course, a website, or even a down payment on a rental property. ✨ Don’t wait for the “perfect” moment. Start with what you have. Learn as you go. This year so far has been an amazing one for my online income, but I’ve also seen how fast things can change. Just two years ago, my business hit a rough patch—and that’s what really pushed me to diversify. So if you’ve been thinking about setting yourself up for more freedom but still holding onto stability—I encourage you to pick something and go for it. You’ve got time and options. And I’m always here cheering you on. |

Hey Reader, I promise I wasn’t trying to complain about missing the Labor Day sales. But looking back, I can see how it may have come across that way. What I meant to share, beyond the whole “missed the flooring deal” moment, was a little reminder of how quickly life moves, how easy it is to forget to pause, and how much good is sitting right in front of us if we just stop long enough to notice it. That moment led me to a question I’ve been turning over in my mind lately. So what does it mean...
Hey Reader, This past weekend was a blur, but in a good way. I was hopping online here and there, sending out updates, publishing about Labor Day deals, and doing my best to help others snag the savings I knew they’d love. But somewhere in the middle of it all, I forgot to shop the sales myself. My husband and I are currently in the middle of restoring one of our rental units. We’re putting in the effort to bring the space back to life and make it a great place for someone to call home. One...
Hey Reader, Something I’ve told myself over and over again is that owning a business is hard—but it’s worth it. Some months are incredible. Sales come in steadily, ideas flow, and everything clicks. Then the next month rolls around and suddenly, it feels like everything slows to a crawl. People are quieter. Engagement drops. Income dips. And it’s easy to start second guessing everything. I’ve been through that enough times to know now—it’s just part of the rhythm. This time of year...
