Last week you asked for it, and I sent it! You told me that you're on my list because you want (or in many cases, need) to earn more money. Honestly, I was in your EXACT shoes back in 2015 when my son was born. I needed to figure out how to earn an income so I could afford to stay home and raise him myself.

Now, don’t get me wrong—I’m not against daycare, hiring a nanny, or working opposite schedules from your spouse to provide for your family. But that just wasn’t the path I wanted. God put it on my heart to be a stay-at-home mom, and now, almost 10 years later, even though my kids are both in school, I’m so grateful for this flexible lifestyle.

If the idea of moving toward this kind of flexibility sounds good to you, you’re in the right place. Last week, we talked about getting paid to inspire others through speaking. To give you an example of earning money through speaking engagements, I’m a NFEC Certified Financial Education Instructor℠ (CFEI®), which means I have the credentials to offer my services either locally or virtually as a speaker or writer in financial education. Now, while personal finance is a passion of mine, you might be more interested in other topics or have your own area of expertise where you can pursue speaking engagements. In the coming weeks, we’ll cover other ways to inspire and earn. Whether it’s through writing, creating videos, podcasting, or even making visuals like photography or art, there are so many ways to inspire people to take action. Our goal is to connect the dots between your talent and how you can inspire people to take action (usually toward some type of purchase, but we’ll also discuss other types of actions that can help you earn).

This doesn’t mean you have to offer a product or service (though you could!). It could be as simple as recommending an affiliate product, or serving ads on your video content—where people get inspired by your work and stay to watch more.
