So… our big spring work plans?

Hey Reader,

I had big plans for this spring.

My husband and I were going to get ahead and get some things done. Maybe even start a little side project with the kids. You know, be super productive and all that.

But you wanna know what actually happened?

The kids just wanted to play.

Like, every day.

And to be completely honest… we kind of did too.

I kept thinking, “Okay, we’ll buckle down tomorrow.” But tomorrow came, and it was just too beautiful outside to be inside working. And yesterday it hit me—we’re already a third of the way through June, and I’ve barely touched my to-do list.

At first, I felt bad. Like I was letting my goals slip. But then I took a step back and remembered that this right here is the life I used to pray for.

Over ten years ago, I was dragging myself out of bed every morning, holding back tears as I got ready for another long day in a stuffy office. I remember staring out the window at work, watching the summer fly by without me. Two weeks of vacation for an entire year didn’t even scratch the surface of what I needed.

So no—I’m not going to beat myself up for enjoying slow mornings, evening campfires, or spontaneous park days with my family. I’m going to be grateful that I get to do this now. I am forever thankful that I get to choose how I spend my time.

If you’re still in that place—working nonstop, stuck in someone else’s schedule, feeling like there’s never any time for you—I just want you to know that you don’t have to stay there.

I thought that was my only option too, but it wasn’t. And it’s not yours either.

I’ve got some free resources to help you start shifting things, even if it’s just a baby step. You in? Start with the one that stands out to you the most:

Hey Reader, It’s been so refreshing to talk more about online income lately. Every time I get a message from someone who’s taken a step—any step—toward starting their own income project, I can’t help but cheer them on. And as promised, I want to share a little celebration of my own with you. I just finished tallying up my income for May… and it came to $14,409. 🤯 That’s a number I haven’t seen within a month for quite some time, and let me tell you—I sat with it for a minute, grateful, and...

Hey Reader, Recently, I had to make one of the hardest decisions in my business so far. Last summer, blogging income had slowed down, and with the rise of AI content flooding the internet, it felt like my voice was getting drowned out. I didn’t want to keep pouring energy into something that just wasn’t producing results the way it used to. So, I pivoted. I put my blog on the back burner and started a Facebook group for online deal shopping. It quickly became one of the most fun projects I’d...

Hey Reader, I wanted to share a little glimpse into my Mother’s Day weekend—not because anything wild or extravagant happened, but because honestly, it looked a lot like most weekends for us. And that’s something I’m incredibly grateful for. Every Sunday, no matter how full the week has been, I unplug completely from work. My husband and I take the kids to church, and almost every single week, we meet up afterward for lunch with my side of the family. And when I say family—I mean family. I’m...
